Update

A couple more layers on this one. She looks soft right now because I glazed a light gray over her. I think I'm going to let her rest for a few days and then go in with some pencils or pastels.

The semi-rearing appy is just about done, I glazed his eyes today but still need to do a couple of touch-ups. He will probably be for sale sometime next week. I hope I can get some good pictures of him. I don't know why, but suddenly I can't get good photos. I think it's because I've been taking pictures during the day, yet also using artificial light, so the mix is hard for my camera to figure out. Who knows.

I'm almost done prepping the Scarlett Gypsy NAN donation and should be able to start on her very soon.

I have been so, so busy lately. I've been neglecting my blogs and letting some things (like the PAS re-sculpt and the Percheron medallion) sit while I focus on painting and prepping. I hardly ever go to the forums like Blab, I barely have time to look up any more :-0 I've also decided to focus more on my flat painting, so I've been spending a lot of time on that after I finish with horses for the day. I always go back and forth on what style of painting I want to do, and lately I've been getting interested in pushing for a higher level of realism and polish in those flat paintings, so it takes a lot longer to paint one.

I find that sometimes no matter how hard I try I can't make a good picture. I don't know why that is, but it sure is frustrating.

She is looking quite lovely. Soft is a good word to describe her at the moment, I look forward to seeing the finished product.
