Everything's back in order now (more or less), and I snapped some new pictures:
Here's a Mini-Maj I'm working on. This is just an initial basecoat. I've had to go back in and sand a little bit so it's slow going right now.
Here's the classic shire. I think dapple grays take more time than roans. The patterning is so complex...
This one is finally starting to come together. I screwed up the pattern on the other side, though, so it's taking me extra time to fix it.
I'm starting to get the right color and shading on this one.
I think you can see the dapples a little better in this photo.
I believe this was the first resin I ever bought, before I knew anything about the different artists or molds. I just knew I could afford it LOL! When I bought it, I wasn't aware of the whole "casting a custom" controversy, and I believe this is a SM Arab mare that was customized into a drafter and then cast. I'm not positive, but I think that's the case. I believe this resin is called Valdemar and was made by Paige Easley Patty? If anyone can correct me, please let me know!
I've started on the color of this Bitty Bosco. I have to make a base for him! He stands okay on a flat surface, but when I put him on this cloth to photograph him, he will not stand up. My plan is to make him a nice warm grullo or dun pinto. Now I'm not sure about the pinto markings because I'm liking his color so far. What do you think?
Here's a medallion I'm working on. It's very relaxing to work on these. It's actually a little darker than the photo shows.
Dinky Duke is coming along, slowly.
And that's it for this week! I've been keeping myself busy.
