Grendel RIP

I'm afraid I haven't gotten a whole lot done in the studio this past week because my elderly cat Grendel was suddenly stricken and we had to have her put down. It was really traumatic and she was in a lot of pain, so I know it was the best thing to do, but I'm still pretty devastated. It gets harder and harder to deal with death as I get older myself. I'm just glad that it happened while my husband and I were both home, so we could be with her at the end, and the vets were very nice about everything and let us spend as much time as we wanted with her. We had this cat since she was a tiny kitten, so spent many good years together. I really miss her.

I am so sorry. Having recently gone through this myself, I know how difficult it is to say goodbye no matter what the circumstances. Your kitty was very beautiful and I know he will be greatly missed.

Sorry, I know I mistyped that and said "he" when I meant "she".

Oh Carol I'm SO sorry! I wish I could give you more than this cyber hug. -sighs- (hugs)... it's amazing how these things can make us completely shut down sometimes. I'm sure people will understand not getting anything done. Huge hugs again. :(

Thanks everyone. I read your beautiful blog post about your dog, Jennifer, it was very nice. If only they had our lifespan!

I'm so, so sorry Carol. There's no words to express my sadness for your loss. I know how these precious souls become so important in our lives, taking the time to mourn her loss is far more important than pieces of resin/plastic. *hugs* Take care of you.
